Marvão, Portugal
The main objective for the visit to Portugal were the Castles. So with this said off I went for a day trip to the east, literally 10 kilometers from Spain, to the medieval village Marvão. Which sits way on top of a big hill. Literally the entire village is up there and surrounded by the castle wall. Romans settle here at one point, but it's noted the Moors first arrived here 715.
After a few hours of our visit to this village, I decided since I were 10 kilometers from Spain....why not head over and have some tapas, sangria and listen to some Flamenco!!?? I did find both the tapas and Sangria, but no Flamenco. JODER!!! The bad part about this mini adventure is I went during the " Siesta " time. Almost everything was closed, because the Spaniards take their siesta sessions serious.
AYI VA LA OSTIA!!! JODER!!!
Here I am after a few pints, tapas and chatting up the locals. JODER!!!
And here I am on the way back to Portugal. Check out my black socks.
