Luanco, España

The tiny sleepy fishing village of Luanco is located within the Asturias region of northern España. About a few hours west of Bilbao, Pais Basco. I came here to visit some friends I had met a few years back while they were traveling within the States. Of the three I had met, only two of them live here. Martin and Fer. The other guy, Santiago, lives in the near by town of Gijon.

Luanco immediately was a trea. Great food, friendly people and very scenic. This is a vacation haven for lots of folks from the neighboring larger cities, which includes Madrid as well. The best part is there are NO tourists here (except me), crowds, english speaking people or loud Italians. OKAY. First few days I spent alone cruising around the town getting to know it.  This is the ideal location for a very relaxed get away from the large city type of vacation. I'm in for a treat.

This is the view from my crib (Martin's house).
