The Resurrection of Señor Camper‏

As many of you may know, the motor in my 71 Westfalia took a dump on me while coming back from the April Pomona swapmeet. April 13th to be exact.  So after sitting for 6 months, it’s finally on the road. YES! I’m super pumped about it being on the road again. This means both road trips and camping adventures. I got a good taste while camping at Joshua Tree this past February, and rest assure I will be taking it back come next year.  My good buddy, Cody Falkner, came over and helped get the motor dressed up and running. The axle seal on the transmission was also fixed. Now it’s all about giving Señor Camper a good washing, as well a good cleaning inside. No need stocking it up with all the necessary camping goodies as they all sat inside from the previous adventure. And what a bummer this ride wasn’t up and running for the Cachuma Lake camp out!!! But not to worry, many camping trips are in the horizon, as well weekend beach trips.  Stay tuned ……………..

Once the motor was assemble/dressed up, it was time to give this mug a very needed wash. It's been sitting since April. And I didn't to show up to the P-town gathering in a filthy ride.
