Last day at Buses by the Bridge

Come the morning, it was prepping time for the departure. Lucky for me, having my 71 Westfalia, it was an easy task loading up. I basically relaxed most of the time waiting for the rest to finish their packing. Once the raffle was done, we started to head out but were stopped by the Heilite Mafia for a group photo. Now that was a fun side attraction. Luis Ruiz and Daniel Wright, Boss & Under Boss of the Heilite Mafia, gathered up about 20 VW’s for a group shot. Nice pictures.  Once this was done, off we set towards Parker. We gas’d up our rides in Parker and made way to highway 62 and hit Rice Road – highway 177. A very scenic route. Prior to departing Chiriaco Summit, we said our good buys and ventured towards home. San Diego them, the tiny village of Pasadena for me.

In the end, this turned out to be not only a great event, but a very cool journey heading out to the event. If you ever have the opportunity to visit this show, do it! It’s worth it. There are tons of hotels walking distance from the campground.
