OK, let’s get this show on the road! Being on the committee as well a founding father of the OCTO crew, I have some privilages. I get to spend the night prior to the show. Though it’s just easier for me to wake up and get started on what I do there. Park Buses!! 6:00 am sharp the gates opened and the show started. I’m always amazed each at each OCTO show all the gems the Bus folks bring out to sell in the Swap area. This is also the show people debut their newly restored or fixed up ride. Tons of vendors were at hand. From the giants to the smaller shops. Something impressive was Gerson of Klassicfab and Jason Stratton of Stratton Motors drove all the way out from Florida for this event! what a great turn out. I ran into some many friends from all corners of the world ……… Japan, Belgium, Germany, New Zealand, Mexico, Argentina, France ……. Just to name a few. As well all my local and out of state buddies. The energy and vide was roaring at this event. And to think, this was the beginning of an epic weekend awaiting. Another mini event within this event is the raffle. So many generous outfits, including Cuñado Wear, donate their products to this raffle which proceeds go towards the Long Beach Community College Foundation Athletics Department. Once the dust started to clear, we rounded up the troops, packed our buses and formed our massive caravan heading towards the city of Chino for the Black Star Camp out.
I spy two shady characters!!?? I will give you a few hints ........... one is the Ice chest Czar and the other is part of the Wu Tang Clan

This is Luis Ruiz' Crew Cab, one of the Heilite Mafia Capo's. This guy went to town on this bus and finished it up in 6 months? I think?
This Barndoor Panel belongs to Rick Clark.
The world famous Cuñado pimping out his Cuñado Wear gear!
Now this is a very impressive bus. Or should I say, a survivor. The real deal. This is a late 1962 Deluxe 23 Window with 14,000 miles on the odometer! This thing looks brand new. The paint outside is amazing and the interior is insane! Czech out the headliner!!! I’m still blown away when I see rides like this surface. It goes to show you that they are still out there!!!
Look at the interior!!!!!!!!
Czech this bus out! This is the original bus used in the iconic 80’s movie …… FAST TIMES AT RIDGEMONT HIGH. Remember the main character?? Jeff Spicoli?? Sean Played that character. Watch it if you haven’t. The bus belongs to Robert Skinner of Skinner Classics.
Beautiful bus! This is my favorite color scheme for a bus.
Here's another crowd favorite .......... Disneyland Eddy and Tio Dave's Highroof bus.
This is such a cool bus! It belongs to my homie Sammy.
Here's Sammy leaning up against Jamie's Barndoor single cab.
Here is another shot of the 1952 Sunroof Standard Micro Bus owned by Smitty's Auto Body.
These few pictures are of a very special and rare bus, a 1961 Kombi with the factory Swivel Seat Option. It's owned and restored by John Jones of KCW. Beautiful Bus!!! Awesome job John!!!
